Community Grounds fights food waste and empowers communities by connecting coffee shops with disadvantaged and at-risk community members who collect and convert their food waste into a fertilizer product. To come full circle, we use the proceeds from our sales to support local organizations which teach environmental sustainability and ethical citizenship.

Each purchase returns value to the community in the form of funding for organizations which teach environmental sustainability and ethical citizenship, skills which help grow a just and sustainable community.

We work with local community members to collect our food waste, produce our fertilizer, and deliver the product to participating coffee shops, all while teaching them about sustainable waste management and composting.
